When does the time photography becomes a hobby?

When you enjoy taking photos and share it online
When you love to view others photographs
When you are learning by example and loves getting feedback
When you have so many photos and saved on your external hard drive to back them up
When you spend lot of time watching tutorials and reviews about lenses and cameras
When you know how to manipulate camera controls
When whenever you have a great shot it makes you smile

The above listed where some characters I noticed with my boyfriend. It takes 2 years before he got his own camera Canon EOS 60D. He read and watched reviews a lot, viewing experts advice on Youtube and watch demo on Vimeo. Visit Funnan to walk around to see camera's and lens price.

I think if you really love something you will spend time for it and I'm proud for his willingness to learn. Now, he was enjoying his 3 months old Canon camera and I saw a lot of improvement in his shots, from his first shots up to his 100. I do also want to learn, I think I need to buy camera too. :) We are just getting started with photography as a hobby and looking forward to learn more. Design: Logo Re-creation Layout

In my spare time, I always open my Photoshop and Illustrator to create and layout everything that comes to my mind.

Today, I made logo layouting for Goblet. On the rightside of the Illustrator screen was their current logo grabbed from their own website source gobletcateringservices.com and on the left was the black version I made. They say that it is very important for a logo to look good in black and white so I made its black version.

Guessing what font's used was always like a game for me, I found out that their current logo used Monotype Cursiva and Times New Roman. I adjust a little of text spacing to look the text more compact.

Below was my created proposed design for Goblet, it might not be approved because the client didn't have request to re-create their logo. I just want to spent time with it. :)

I like to see the work first in black and white to ensure that the logo will look good in its simplest form. The bold script fonts used on the logo adds different meaning, for me it means "masarap ang mga pagkain, palaging fresh from the chef -Goblet".

Overall, for me the logo should be look neat, clean and simple. Logo plays an important role for the businesses. It represents branding and the first impression for the potential customers. Logo should also have uniformity in the website, letterhead, business cards and prints.

First Attempt To Cook Carbonara

May natira pang pasta kaya naisipan ko kaninang hapon na magluto ng Carbonara, nakapag-spaghetti na kame noong Thursday kaya ngayon ay para maiba Carbonara. Hindi ko alam kung paano magluto ng Carbonara, wala akong ka-ide-ideya dahil si Mama ko ay hindi naman nagluluto ng Carbonara. Nagkataon din na nakita kong nag-post ang kaibigan ko sa FB about sa kanyang home made Carbonara. So why not try? May pasta naman ako talaga action nalang ang kulang.

Malapit lang ang Shen Shiong Supermarket dito sa tinitirhan namin, niyaya ko si Prince na samahan ako bumili ng recipe para sa Carbonara. Wala akong makitang bacon, ang meron lang ay ham, pero naisip ko na baka pwede ng gamitin ang Chicken Franks Hotdog namin at Ground Pork para sa recipe kaya hindi na din ako bumili.

Ang binili ko nalang ay ang Leggo's Alfredo Cream Sauce with Cheese para timplado na ang Carbonara.Sa madaling salita, wala talaga kong mga recipe ni Carbonara maliban sa mga existing ingredients na pwede na ring magamit.Sibuyas at BawangChicken Franks o HotdogGround Pork / GinilingGatasLeggo's AlfredoPastaayan lang ang mga ginamit ko para sa Carbonara pero tinimplahan ko ng konting asukal at sinamahan ko din ng Knorr Cubes na Chicken flavor. :)

Natuwa naman ako sa kinalabasan dahil kumain si Prince, EJ at Ate Tina (kasama namin sa bahay). At naka-ilang kain na din si EJ ng Carbonara ko. :) Marami pang ingredients ang missing kaya sa susunod na attempt ko magluto ng Carbonara ay paghahandaan ko na talaga ang mga ingredients.

Our Happy Valentines Week

On Monday, we had pre-celebration of our dear friend Mishie :) We bought Blueberries Cake Tarts a must try for berries lovers! at Perla's Pastry Boutique located at Takashimaya Food Basement.

We had a great time meeting new friends and sharing foods.

On the Valentines Days! I gave Valentines Card to EJ and he bought me a Cake. So sweet!

Then, on Wednesday we had our dinner at Subway Ang Mo Kio, eat fresh. After work on Thursday we decided to cook spaghetti at night then on Friday it became our breakfast.

We love our second attempt Home-made Spaghetti :)

Saturday Night Kwentuhan

Alas kwatro na ng madalinga araw pero gising pa din ako. May tinatapos akong website pero hindi ako makapagconcentrate, kaya naisipan kong iupload ang mga picture namin kanina. Saturday night kwentuhan. Naglabas ng Argentina Spicy Sisig si Kuya Reymond, first time kong makakita at makatikim ng Argentina Sisig. Favorite ko ang Sisig kaya niluto na namin ito. Gisa ng sibuyas at bawang, ihalo, lagyan ng itlog at pampalasa at solved na ang pulutan.

J & B naman ang natikman namin ngayon habang may Ding Dong, Nagaraya at Argentina, isama na natin ang chaser na Tang Orange. Kwentuhan kame about sa buhay buhay sa Pinas, mga pinagdaanan at mga plano sa buhay. :)

Hindi ko alam kung bakit gising pa din ako ngayon, nakikinig ng Love Radio 90.7. Mga lumang tugtug na ang naririnig ko kaya parang mas lalo akong gising ngayon, sarap kasi pakinggan ng mga old musics.. Sunday na pala kaya goodtime oldies na. I can't stop myself listening on the radio via internet. Kanina nga pala naka-usap ko si Uncle after almost 2 years. Dubai siya ngayon at masaya akong makita uli siya sa webcam. Today, I am going to count my blessings for all the wonderful people that surround me both online and offline. Thank you all, for giving time on me.

Late Lunch Black Pepper Roasted Chicken

Late na kameng nagising ngayon kaya late na din ang aming lunch. Pumunta muna kame ng DBS para i-check ang aming account sa previous employer pero close na pala ito. Sa FairPrice na kame dumiretso para mamili ng mga pagkain para sa susunod na linggo.

Habang namimili ng mga prutas, tinawag ako ni EJ upang tingnan ang mga luto nang chicken. Pagtingin namin amoy palang ay nakakagutom na, kaya sinubukan naming bumili.

Black Pepper Roasted Chicken ang binili namin para sa late lunch. Naalala ko tuloy ang Andoks at Chooks to go sa Pinas at maging ang ilang maliliit na tindahan ng manok na binibilhan namin sa Tandang Sora at sa Philand.

Hindi na siya gaanong mainit pagdating namin kanina, mag-alas tres na rin ng makarating kame sa bahay. Pagkadating ay inayos na namin ang mga pinamili naming prutas at kakanin. Si EJ sa ngayon ay namumula-mula ang mata niya. Bumili kame ng Allergan sa halip na Eye Mo wala kasi kameng makitang Eye Mo for red eyes. Pagkatapos makapagligpit at makapag-saing, kainan na :)

Masarap ang nabili naming Black Pepper Roasted Chicken. Ito na ang ulam namin hanggang mamayang hapunan at malamang hanggang kinabukasan ay ulam pa din namin ito. Malasa ang balat niya at malambot naman ang chicken sa loob.

Naalala ko tuloy sila kuya pinsan na sa tuwing bumibisita sa bahay ay may dalang manok o di naman kaya kapag may bisita sa bahay manok na tulad nito ang naiisipan naming bilhin para sa ulam at pulutan na rin.

St. Remy Brandy at Chicharon Solved

Wednesday palang pero may yaya na ng inuman. Madalas Friday ang ayaan ng inuman pero ngayon napa-aga. Hindi na din kame tumanggi dahil noong nakaraang linngo ay nakatanggi na ako at sila-sila nalang ang nag-inuman.

St. Remy Authenthic French Brandy ang nakahanda para sa tagay. Naglabas naman ako ng R. Lapid's Chicharon na binigay samin kahapon ni Ate Mishie na galing pa sa Pinas. Ang buong akala namin ay may birthday dahil mukhang special ang tatagayin pero kunwari lang pala ito. Apat kameng tumagay ng St. Remy, pero sa umpisa napatagay din namin si Ate Tina na nagbabantay pa kila Duke at Prince.

Unang tikim namin ito ng St. Remy Authentic Frenh Brandy, masarap pero napakainit. Wala kameng halo sa brandy, mabuti nalang at may mga tira-tirang softdrinks sa fridge kaya nahaluan namin. Nagbukas pa ako ng Century Tuna Hot & Spicy para may ibang pulutan. Para sakin matapang ung St. Remy Brandy, ang sagot naman ni EJ ay parang Matador daw. Heheh.

Halos dalawang oras na kwentuhan at tagay ang nangyari kahapon. Salamat sa St. Remy Authentic Brandy mahimbing ang tulog pero sabog kinabukasan. :)

Jade Buddha For Universal Peace Visit - Takashimaya Singapore

My first time visiting the Jade Buddha was last Thursday, my colleagues invited me to come and see the Jade Buddha For Universal Peace at Takashimaya located in Ngee Ann City, it takes just about 10 minutes from the office.

The viewing was started last January 14 and will end on January 26, 2012. Jade Buddha was the largest jade Buddha statue in the world, weighing 4 tons in 2.7 meters tall. Some of the event highlights are Blessing from Holy Relics, Viewing of Holy Relics, Construction of Kuan Yin Sand Mandala, Tara Puja for Peace and Happiness and Dzambhala Puja for Wealth and Prosperity.

There were also offerings and prayers. When you go inside you will see a bunch of rice available for offerings. The rice cost $5 per kilograms, there were 50,000 kilograms of rice available to the Jade Buddha statue throughout the exhibition. There were fliers and reading booklets available for free distribution. You can donate at whatever amount you have.

First, we walk three times in clockwise circumambulation around statue of Buddha while we are viewing Holy Relics. Then we queue to received the Blessings of Holy Relics. Relics was referring to a kind of pearl-like crystals found after the cremation of Buddhist Masters. I watched them first to see how to received the blessings. First, kneel down in front of Buddhist Master and he will placed the Holy Relics while praying on your heads. I do what they do. My colleagues asked me if I'm feeling comfortable and I said I'm fine. Even I'm not Buddhist and it's my first time to experienced this I feel fine and comfortable. I respect their beliefs and faith. When I kneel down I closed my eyes and made a wish. We also went at the Sand Mandala, it was very amazing. The monks were carefully placing the sand beads on the mandala. Along the sides, I bought t-shirt for EJ. The t-shirt says "Live Work Die Meditate Enjoy with Compassion." I also tried spinning the Prayer Wheel on the exhibition.

The second time was on the second day of Chinese New Year, I invited EJ to come and visit.

My third time visiting was last Wednesday with my colleagues again. In almost two weeks Jade Buddha was in Singapore I visited three times and the experience was amazing.

Long Weekend Nung Chinese New Year

Mahaba ang bakasyon dalawang araw kameng walang pasok nung Chinese New Year, bago magChinese New Year tanungan na kung saan kame pupunta o anung gagawin naming dalawa. Wala talaga kameng plano nun kaya siguro wala ding nangyari. Gusto sana naming bumisita sa Chinatown at Marina Bay Sands pero hindi kame natuloy. May friend naman ako sa Facebook na tinatanong na kame kung saan kame sa Chinese New Year pero wala talaga kameng plano kaya sinabi ko nalang sa kanya iyong event sa Takashimaya.

January 21 2012 - Sabado

Pumunta muna kame ng Lucky Plaza para mag-remit, pagkatapos ay naglakad kame papuntang Plaza Singapura. Doon na kame inabot ng lunch kaya kumain kame sa Kopitiam Pepper Lunch Express.

Mula sa Dhoby Ghaut station ay pumunta kame ng Sengkang, bumili muna kame ng Bengawan Solo na cake sa Compasspoint bago pumunta. Pagdating namin nanood kame ng Praybeyt Benjamin. Nakakatuwa at ang dami kong tawa sa pelikula ni Vice Ganda. Kahit na buhay pirata sa panonood napasaya kame ng bonggang bongga. Haha.

January 22 2012 - Linggo
Nagsimba kame sa Tagalog Mass ng Church of the Risen Christ sa Toa Payoh. Every fourth Sunday of the month Tagalog ang misa sa simbahan.

Pagkalabas ng simbahan ay nagpunta kame ng bus stop. May nakita na kameng Bus 88 pero hindi kame sumakay. Pumunta kame sa gothere.sg website para alamin ang daan papuntang Sengkang. Tinuro samin ni Gothere na sa Lorong 6 daw kaya umikot pa kame para hanapin ang bus stop. Nakakatuwa dinaanan lang namin same bus stop na pinanggalingan naming dalawa. Pupunta kame uli ngayon ng Sengkang dahil may Birthday Celebration si Zoey, pamangkin sa asawa ng tito ni EJ.

Chinese New Year - Lunes

Naglinis kame ng araw na to, linis galore ng bonggang-bongga ginawa naming dalawa. Nilipat din namin ang ayos ng mga gamit para maiba naman ang hitsura. Pagkatapos namin maglinis nakatanggap ako ng tawag galing kay Auntie Zarah, niyaya kame ni ante na manood ng sine. Nanood kame ng sine Jack N Jill ni Adam Sandler. Maganda ang palabas at nakakatuwa, bukas pala ang mga sinehan kapag Chinese New Year ang akala namin lahat ay mag-sasara. Ang mga hawkers karamihan sarado na.

Chinese New Year - Martes

Maaga kameng umalis ng bahay, pumasok kame ng isang oras at si EJ naman ay may gagawin din sa opisina. Nagtext sakin si EJ na parang ghost town daw ang Raffles, sa Orchard naman konti ang tao. Pagdating sa opisina ang daming iba-ibang pagkain. Masarap ung Bakkwa at Kueh Lapis, binigyan kame ng Ang Bao o Ang Pao. :)

Nagkita na kame ni EJ para sa lunch. Habang naglalakad nadaanan namin ang magandang display ng Dragon sa Mandarin Orchard.

Napagpasyahan naming dalawa na sa Plaza Singapura ulit kumain ng lunch. Kumain kame sa Pastamania.

Pagkatapos ay tumambay kame sa Sentosa Boardwalk. :) Gong Xi Fa Cai! Kung Hei Fat Choi! :)

Our First New Year in Singapore - Welcome 2012

This was our first New Year's Eve together at Singapore. In the past 6 years of being in the relationship we spent New Year with families around us.

Spending New Year's Eve far away from our families and relatives and most especially far away from home was a new feeling. I kept telling myself, "walang iiyak". I cried a lot last night. Stop crying and missing home. So we keep ourselves busy this day. We need to act the same way to feel like home.

We both miss the Pinoy Style Spaghetti, every New Year we're craving for pasta and pancit for long life. Yesterday, we ate pancit at Kabayan's Restaurant Lucky Plaza thus this day we decided to cook spaghetti. We went at Lucky Plaza MJ Filipino Store to bought some ingredients. We spent $15.50 for the recipes, ground pork, onions, garlic, vegetable oil, pepper not included.

Afterwards, we go at Fairprice Supermarket. We are looking for round fruits. We bought fruits such as apple, green apple, israel sweetie grapefruit, dragonfruit, kiwi, oranges, lemon, mangosteen, pears, grapes and blueberries.

When we reached home, we clean the room first . Sweep and wipe the floor, do laundry and thrown unwanted rubbish.

This was our first attempt to cook Pinoy Style Spaghetti. First, I cooked Royal Spaghetti noodles according to my mama's instructions. Put iodized salt and oil in the water. In the sauced pan, put garlic, onions and cooking oil. Added ground pork and let it cook. We didn't have hotdog because we cant find Tender Juicy's hotdog at the store, I missed. Then, added tomato sauce, tomato paste, ketchup, small amount of hot water and fine pepper. We also added cheese and sugar to taste.

We let it taste by our housemate who's watching in the living room and he loves the taste. Hahah. So happy when he said, "masarap! salamat.". I prepared spaghetti and fried chicken in our table for dinner, had few photo shots and we eat yum yum! :)

We went at Marina for fireworks display. I made a wish while watching beautiful fireworks seen lively. I wish to spend my next Christmas and New Year's Eve with my family, wish to have good luck at work, sweet and kisses, good health and loads of fun. I call my mother and sisters many times, hearing their voices makes me feel home. After watching beautiful fireworks display, we greet everyone a "Happy New Year", then we ate again.

My 12 Things To Do Before 2012

Yay! Today, was 2011 last day of work. I can't believe another year is coming to a close. Welcome 2012! :)

I don't have much things to do so I create "My 12 things to do before 2012".

1. Call mom / Tawagan si Mama
I always had a talk to my mother whenever I'm free and I have extra load to call. So before there will be lot of noise, call mama first.

2. Attend a mass
I visited veritas Singapore website and they post that mass will be on January 1 at Novena Church

3. Come down to Marina Bay Sands
EJ wants to capture some photos during Countdown 2012

4. Put money in my pocket
I always do this every year. I remember before, I used to give coins for my sisters and brothers making sure that they have lots to shake those coins for money luck!

5. Buy twelve round fruits
Popular choices for these round fruits are Orange, Pakwan, Apple, Grapes, Chicos, Dalandan, Suha aka Buongon, Lanzones, Atis, Pear, Melon, Lychee, Lemon, Guava, Kiwi and Rambutan. Hope I can have some of these fruits for New Year’s Media Noche.

6. Payment for SSS and PAG-IBIG
I need to this later after work, see ya Lucky Plaza.

7. Wear polka dots or red shirt
I dont have one, how can I wear this for good luck.

8. Back up files at HD.
I bought 1TB HD last IT Show, sadly I don't even put some files to it. EJ's laptop had many files already. Please back-up. Clean the laptop desktop.

9. Jump?
Jumping to help me taller! Waaaa, hope I can jump for joy this coming New Year.

10. Clean the room
I need to this, wipe the floor.. Clean the roooooooooom.

11. Punuin ang lalagyanan ng Milo, asukal at bigas.
This is one of my mothers "palihi", she always make sure that our rice, all the containers were full.

12. Eat pancit for long life
Definitely YES! :)

Most of my 12 things to do were Filipino's tradition for New Years Eve. I didn't list down one of my favorite task every New Year - to open all windows, doors, lights so that all the graces will come to our home as we welcome the New Year. I miss this big celebration in the Philippines.

First Christmas Far Away From Home

Saturday - December 24, 2011

Medyo maulan nung Sabado, naisipan namin ni EJ na mag-picture sa void deck ng block. Wala kameng magawa at hindi pa namin alam kung anung gagawin namin. Wala din kameng hinanda na kahit ano para sa "Noche Buena", kaya picture picture muna kameng dalawa.

Mag-isang oras din siguro kameng nag-pipicturan sa void deck hanggang sa tumawag tito ni EJ, niyaya kame mag-Orchard. Yey! May lakad na kameng dalawa.

Nagkita kame ng tito at auntie ni EJ sa may Ang Mo Kio Mrt station, para kameng nag-exchange gifts sa mrt, bawat isa ay may bitbit na regalo. Wala kameng usapan na mag-exchange gifts, talagang spirit of Christmas ang gift giving. :)

Una kameng nagpunta sa Lucky Plaza, nagpagupit muna si tito sa Bongga Salon at pagkatapos ay pumunta na kame ng Takashimaya.

Sa Takashimaya ang daming sale na laruan, naalala ko tuloy yung mga inaanak ko sa Pilipinas na sa tuwing sasapit ang pasko ay binibigyan ko ng mga toys. Super puno parin ang stores at ang daming nag last minute shopping, pati kame ay naki-join na rin.

Pagkatapos ng salo-salo, nagpunta naman kame sa Marina Bay Sands.

Sa Marina Bay Sands na namin tinuloy ang kwentuhan. Mga nangyari ngayong 2011 at kanya kanyang sharing of experiences. We are very thankful at nandyan ang mga relatives ni EJ na nagpapayo samin, auntie niya at mga tito.

Pagkatapos nag-aya ng inuman si Tito sa Hawkers, tagay kame ng Tiger Beer.

Tinatawagan na kame sa bahay, nag-aantay din ang mga housemates namin sa tagay. Tequila ang iniinom nila at may bisitang taga-Thailand, katrabaho ng kasama din namin sa bahay. Nagkaroon pa ng Pinoy Henyo Game sa bahay at kame ang nanalo. :) May gifts kameng natanggap pagkatapos ng laro.

My First Secret Santa Christmas Dinner with Colleagues

Last monday (December 19), nag-celebrate ng Christmas dinner ang company namin. They decided to celebrate it earlier dahil may mga kanya kanyang lakad din sa mga susunod na raw.

Hindi ko agad ma-feel ung excitement sa Christmas dinner namin, wala din namang bonggang bonggang preperation. At bago kame mag-dinner ay halos maiyak ako nung kamustahin ko kay Google ang Bagyong Sendong. Nagulat ako sa mga pictures at videos na nakita ko dahil hindi ko akalaing ganoon pala kalaki ang pinsalang binigay ni Sendong sa Cagayan de Oro at Iligan.

Halos mag-alas-siyete na ng makarating kame sa Shangrila 5-minutes lang ata ang tinakbo ng kotse. Pinagbuksan kame ng pinto. Nang makita ko ang lugar naalala ko bigla si Shangrila Makati, halos magkatulad.

Dumiretso na kame sa The Line. Ito daw ay isa sa best buffet restaurants dito sa Singapore. Pagpasok isang hilera ng ibat-ibang klaseng putahe ang makikita mo sa The Line, may Japanese, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Mediterranean, Singaporean and Western Dishes.

Una kong tinikman ang Caesar's salad ako na nag-mix, pagtapos ay oyster, hipon, crab, etc. Hindi ako makapag-focus ng kakainin sa dami ng food at they were all looks tempting. Tinikman ko din ang turkey, pasta at konting dessert. Ang drinks namin Tiger beer, kamusta naman ang drinks pero masarap naman dahil malamig.

"Merry Christmas, Cheers!", masayang sinabi ng boss ko at nag-cheers kameng lima sabay inom.

I'm happy makita silang masaya celebrating Christmas. Buddhist ang religion ng mag-bf-gf kong boss, Buddhist din ang OJT namin at Hindu naman ang religion ng app developer namin.

Madadama po pa rin pala ang Christmas spirit kahit nasa ibang bansa. I admire them, kahit na hindi sila Christians they celebrate Christmas.

Ang boss ko nung una ko siyang marinig na nag-Merry Christmas sa kausap niya sa phone, napa-smile ako. He greet all his friends with Merry Christmas first bago kamustahin ang business.

Ang isang boss ko naman, nag-tatanong ng magandang gift ideas to her cats, friends and families.
Ang buong Christmas dinner ay kwentuhan about Christmas. Na-ikwento ko pa ang aking labing-anim na inaanak sa Pinas. Ang sabi ko 'non, 16 ang mga inaanak ko, mali pala, binilang ko kahapon umabot na pala ng 20.

I've been looking for a job this past few days and I stumble upon on the email I received about the invitation for interview. I feel so blessed to have an invitation so the next day I dropped by in their office. After the interview, I received an email from them..

I did the exam because I want the position. I used my stock images for layout-ing and I feel rush because of not enough time. I got home at 6pm and I read the email about 8pm. They didn't send any logo or materials for the mock-ups.

After sending the exam, I was asked to come for the final interview. The boss said, all my designs are good and he offer me the job. To make the long story short, I accepted the job, but when I came home they text me again and requesting for another design for the exam number 2. That time I began to doubt, they asking me for PSD files and High Resolution of images and now for what reason they'll asked me again to re-design the number 2.. But I end to "trust".

I trust the company and created a new design for exam number 2.

After all, they gave me the impression there was something I could hope for, but actually has no intention to hire me. They just need my PSD file, high resolution of the layouts and that's all.

After a week, I read a post from PinoySG about the said company but just after a day the post was removed so I wasn't able to screenshot what other experience other people had with them.

But I never lose hope whatever happens.. Still hoping that there will still good and better company for me.

I pray for God's guidance now to show me the way to the perfect opportunity, to do what I love, to do what I can do well, and what will fulfill my needs mentally, spiritually, and financially. God, help me to walk in faith as You show me the way.

My Work Experience

I basically taught myself for everything when there's something new I really want. When I got my first real job as a Junior Web and Graphics Designer in Outsourcing City at Mandaluyong I didn't know more on web and graphics designing, I just know how to open Photoshop and play around.

Working at night shift has never been easy for me because I'm quiet scared travelling alone late at night but I need to meet the schedule working hours on California. Within six months working at night, I had learned designing microsites and layouting page templates for eBay. Coding one page layouts and email marketing templates was really an exciting task and with relative ease. Working at night keeps my determination and eagerness to learn more. No matter how much they curse me, but I love what I'm doing.

I experienced many trials and errors, CSS problems most specially. Why this elements can't be aligned and everything but without those CSS disasters, I wouldn't know a little what I know now. I’m sure they’ll be more, too. For me, solving the problem in CSS is what’s addictive.

I love web design, from planning, brainstorming, layouting, coding, debugging - I love what I do. I believe in work what you want to work and I'm definitely sure on my path. I always keep in mind let your passion drive you.

However, I wish I’d known about PHP and MySQL more. If I will be going to rate myself in PHP, my rate is 1. I just used it creating contact forms and PHP includes files for many pages for static sites and that's all. Good thing there's Wordpress for someone like me that can only read php codes but don't write codes, WP is probably the best way to go.

Last 2010, I enter freelancing because of not enough paid work, sigh** I'm being honest. It started when there's a friend of mine who referred me to create company website. The feeling that they trust my skills and capabilities is a big plus on my confidence. That's the start of my big love on creating websites in freelancing. In fact I would say that I get a bit obsessive about creating websites in small businesses that wants to have online presence on the web.

I also experienced Joomla handling clients from Netherland under Online-apps.nl and Wordpress recently. When I discovered jQuery as an amazing tool for front-end development, I felt the urge learn some JavaScript first but above all I'm still engaged in doing lot of Photoshop works.

When I was hired at 88DB Philippines, it becomes an eye opener for me to enter corporate world than just working freelance at home, 7 days a week. It gives me another opportunity to meet friends in a very nice working place, but it didn't stop me in creating freelance websites for businesses.

Freelancing granted me to know different kind of clients, to trust people. Through freelancing, I have meet a special friend who gave me opportunity to work outside the box and my boyfriend who become my mentor in proper coding. I am very thankful with every single opportunity crossed in my life.

Now I now live in Singapore lah, currently our company having difficulties in their management financially. I hope to stay and had modest goals for my life as a web designer. What important to me is working in a stable company, friendly environment and growth in career as well.

The whole point of writing this article was to share with you little things about me, that life is in fact, what you make of it. If you want to change, there really is nothing stopping you from doing so. Just growing up.

After work hours, I started to thanks all my friends who sent me greetings on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Pagtapos punta kame ni EJ sa Orchard..

We first bought Boston Chocolate Cake at Breadtalk, Plaza Singapura, Orchard. Nakakatuwa kasi Pinay ang sales sa Breadtalk.. Nagtitingin palang kame ng mga cakes na salestalk na kame :)

Then, we look for a restaurant that offer Pasta.. Super gutom na rin kame kasi mag 9pm na :)

We then go for Pastamania Italian Cuisine, simple lang naman ang gusto namin ni EJ, kumain ng spaghetti. We ordered Spaghetti Meatballs Bolognese and Hawaiian Pizza plus Green Apple vodka twist.

After ng dinner, sa bahay ung friend namin na taga Bangladesh me gift sakin na hikaw $157 dollars, ang kulit nga kasi pati recibo binigay niya sakin. Pagtapos naalala ko tuloy ung $30 dollars na hikaw na nakita ko sa Mustafa maganda pero di ganun kasing mahal.

Di din kame nakaligtas sa inuman, sinagot ni Kuya Ivan, me gift din sakin si Teena - Chocolates.. Nung makita namin un beer nagulat kame kasi mejo malaki siya sa iniisip namin.. Hay, natikman na rin namin ang sikat na beer dito sa SG ang TIGER. Sikat nga ba? Heheh. Madalas kasi namin makita ang Tiger Beer sa Hawkers.

Ayan mga shots ng first time inuman sa Hawkers, Lavender. :) Masaya din kasi kwentuhan, kaya lang iniisip namin paano bukas eh mag-Sentosa kame 10am ang usapan sa Harbour Front. Sana magising ng maaga lagpas na ng 2am, pero ayos walang tama ang Tiger beer :)

June 10, 2011, tomorrow I will turn 22 years old.. Time flies sooo fast, today I'm 21 and tomorrow I will be 22 lady.

For those who don’t know me yet, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm Glaiza Bernaldez, a daughter, a sister, a grand-daughter, a niece, a cousin, a friend.. Nah! that's all :)

I started this blog as a personal blog last year in an effort to share my everyday experienced. I don't want to have more readers, I just want to write and share some about what I've experienced to life.

You will noticed me have tags about Bohol, well thats my province. Thats my hometown. Thats my birthplace - Guindulman, Bohol. And noticed in this blog the same name I repeat, his name was EJ, and he is my best boy friend. He stays beside me in my worst and in my best..

And just like any birthday, there has to be wishes and all my wishes were for good luck in my stay here in Singapore.

I hope all them come true.. if not today, tomorrow or in God's perfect time. Good things come to those who wait". I am still waiting though for some of them. But in good time when it is right for me it will happen.

Good morning Tuesday!

I always start my day checking notifications at Facebook, bulk of emails at Gmail and reading tweets at Twitter. While reading short tweets in Twitter, I saw gmanews tweets asking "Sapat bang ipagbawal ang mga computer shop malapit sa paaralan para iwas-bulakbol ang mga estudyante?". I replied, depends :).

I've been working in 2 years now, how I missed being a student.

Computer shops near our school plays important role in my student life, not just because I am a computer student in college but because computer shops was one of our favorite place to hang-out. :) There was a time when I was in highschool that I was so excited after class.. because after class was our time at Zirconia - one of the nearest computer shops at our school that time.

EJ was one of my dearest highschool friend, I asked him if he could help me in searching my assignment in Filipino. Nah! it was hard to searched because what we need were old filipino music lyrics. So I asked him if he could help me out.. I was beside him and I noticed that he was so familiar using the web and typed very fast at keyboard. Wow! I was really amazed that time. We have computer at home but we are not interested using it, kinda bored. No internet.

Then I knew, EJ spent lot of his spare time playing games that makes him very familiar using computer.

That's the beginning of my interest in computer. Gusto ko din ma-master, exploring the world wide web.

So nung nag-college na kame pinayuhan ako ni EJ na kunin ang Bachelor of Science in Computing na course kesa sa Engineering course (Civil Engineer). Wala akong regrets sa course na kinuha ko, ang sabi ko sa sarili ko kinuha ko to tatapusin ko :)

Ganto lang naman ang naging buhay estudyante namin noon.

Eksena 1: "Ang init! Tara, sa computer shop tayo"
Palamigan din namin dati ang mga computer shops :)

Eksena 2: "Asan sila? Nasa computer shop."
Sa malapit na computer shop sa school sila madalas matatagpuan (sila - refers to my classmates)

Eksena 3: "Dito lang ako sa BJ Computer Shop, wait kita dito"
Nagiging antayan din namin ang computer shop, Hehehe. Computering while waiting! Hahah.

Eksena 4: "Dota? Dota!"
Nanonood ako habang nagdodota sila.. Ayoko matuto. Heheh.

Eksena 5: "Wala daw si Sir! . . Sige, computer muna ako."
Haha. Mahal na mahal ko dati ang Friendster, so I always keep in touch. Changing my Friendster layout, adding bit html codes when I'm putting testimonials to my friends.

Eksena 6: "15 pesos x 5 hours = Php 75.00 para sa internet cost"
Ubos ang pera, ang bilis ng oras 5 hours na palang nasa computer shop.

Di ko na maalala ung ibang eksena pero lahat nangyayare sa computer shop. Doon kame natuto. Nagiging tambayan namin. Minsan nga me time na dun na kame nagkikita-kita magkakaklase, kahit di naman nag-usap. Super close kame sa mga computer shops. Nagiging friend din namin ang mga nagbabantay. Sa halos araw-araw ba naman na nakikita nila kame eh namememorize na kame. Pero hindi naman namin pinabayaan ang pag-aaral namin non :)

As college students, self-discipline pa rin talaga. Hindi palaging dis-advantage, me advantages din. Pag wala naman kasing magawa sa school, wala ang prof, talagang ang bagsak namin kung hindi sa mga foodchains sa SM Manila, sa mga computer shops sa may San Marcelino ang bagsak namin. :)

Medical Exam at Commonwealth

Thanks God! We just received our medical result for HIV test and Chest X-Ray. We are soo happy that nurses were very hospitable in assisting us.

We took our HIV test at Medical Center, Commonwealth and X-Ray at Jurong East.

It was Wednesday last week when we had our medical check-up with Dr. Gwee-Shoung Yee Rachel, she was beautiful and very calm, she advised me to closed my eyes and turn my face to the right, maybe she feels that I'm getting nervous that time and Oh!! Finished! :)

The next day was X-Ray day, we went to Jurong East to complete our medical exam requirements for work pass. We almost lost, it tooks time to searched the laboratory at Jurong East. Wew! We feel surprised when the medtech speak in tagalog. :) 3 days before we received our Medical result.

More luck tomorrow. We will go to MOM :)

Our First time at Suntec Mall

Here we go again, sa aming Lakad trip. Napapadalas na ata ang lakaran namin tuwing weekend. Hahah Ang target namin this day, to walk from Farrer Park Station to Temasek Boulevard.

We first checked gothere.sg website to review the walk and the distance. Wow! So near. :)

Walking from Farrer Park to Little India was awesome. You can see a lot of stores with cheaper prices and restaurants. Super we enjoy walking at these area nakabisado na rin namin pati paikot-ikot sa lugar. Ang first stop namin ay ang OG Albert Mall. Then diretso papunta sa Bugis Village hanggang sa makita namin ang building na Suntec City.

Medjo hindi kame nag-enjoy sa mall hahah this was our first time.. We just canvassing laptop prices woooot same prices with Funnan Mall, well one reason we go there was memorizing the place so that when the IT Show comes we are familiar at the malls levels already.

We rest after a long walk for a while watching the Fountain of Wealth. We do not appreciated it much because it was hot afternoon and all we want was to sit down and rest. We promised to go back at the fountain at night when theres lights coming from the fountain.

We decided to go at Orchard, wew! We ride at Bus number 36 and we saw way to Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore flyer, the Cityhall. Now we have one list plan, to walk from Farrer Park to Marina Bay Sands :)

At Orchard Road, we walked again from Dhoby Ghaut station to Lucky Plaza. We eat at Filipino Carinderia there (Lechon and Bopis).

Then Daiso at Plaza Singapura. What a tiring day! We got home at 10:00 in the evening.

Halos 1 year na rin akong working.. Nakakamis na ang buhay estudyante..

Hai.. Wala nang mga klasmeyts ngayon.. Wala nang group bondings.. Wala na ring fieldtrip. Wala ng exams.. Natapos ko na ang apat na taon sa kolehiyo. Tahimik na at mag isa nang tinatahak ang realidad ng buhay.

I miss my college life at Technological University of the Philippines - Manila.

Ngayong nakuha ko na ang Transcript of Records ko last week wala na kong documents na need pa sa school.. Baka wala na rin akong balikan. But then I'm very thankful sa mga professors and clasmeyts ko sa college.. Hindi lang sila mga naging profs and classmeyts.. Silay naging friends, sisters and parents to me.. They touched my life in a simple way na mananatili sa alala ko hanggang sa pagtanda.

Tunay ngang ang lahat ay may katapusan.

Ang kung anumang sinimulan ay matatapos din sa tuldok. Ang pag-sshare ko ngayon ay matatapos din. Kung sakaling binabasa mo ito ay aabot ka din ng dulo. Kaya ang college life ay mananatili na sa akin. Ang buhay na binuo ko kasama ang mga kaklase, guro, mga kaibigan, pamilya ay napakahalagang pamana ng panahon sa akin. Hindi na maibabalik ang edad ko nun college pa ko mga taong nag aadjust pa lang ako sa tunay na karera ng buhay. Nakakatuwang isipin 21 na ko ngayon at namimis ko na agad maging students pumasok sa skwela ng naka uniform. Hehe. Gusto kong ikwento ang unang araw ko sa kolehiyo maybe kung may time soon. Sa ngayong hanggang dito nalang muna :)

Wednesday ngayon at inaabangan ng kapatid ko mag start ang palabas na "Ded na si Lolo" sa TV5. Sa taas siya nanonood at tinawag ko para dito nalang sa baba manood dahil ako ay nag-luluto ng uulamin namin sa hapunan.

Hindi ko man naumpisahan naaliw ako agad ng makita si Manilyn Reynes nandoon na sa part na papalitan nila ng damit ang kanilang tatay at dumating si Aling Pilar na taga-kabilang barangay.

Hanggang sa maluto na ang hapunan at kumain na kame ay aliw na aliw kame sa panonood. Lalo na't mga magagaling na artista ang mga nagsiganap

Samakatuwid, naging apektado ako sa pelikula dahil kame rin ay nawalan na ng isang "Tatay" sa pamilya. Sa edad na 16 years old nangulila na ko sa tatay.. at ang palabas na Ded na si Lolo ay muling nagpaalala sa akin ng mga pamanhiin at mga gawa kapag may patay sa pamilya. Napakagandang pelikula ito at talaga namang nahuli ng director, writers, staffs, at mga artista ang totoong nagaganap at nangyayari kapag may patay sa ordinaryong mamamayan dito sa Pilipinas. Ang saklaan, kantahan gamit ang gitara, mga pakain para sa mga bisita, konting picturan, lahat... Naaliw ako at naiyak. Namis ko tuloy ang tatay ko. Muli kong sinariwa nung lamay ni tatay at hindi namin alam ang gagawin. Maraming mga matatandang nag-assist samin at tumulong. Marami rin kameng mga kamag-anak na dumating at nag-abot ng pakikiramay. Tanda ko pa non pumapasok pa rin ako sa school kahit na nakaburol si tatay sa bahay. Masakit pero kailangan kong pumasok para sa exam. A graduate from the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) in Manila topped this year’s list of 1,594 successful examinees in the Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examinations, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Monday.

TUP-Manila’s Ivan dela Cruz Marasigan topped the list with 93.35 percentage rating, followed by Roselle Victor Cultura Lague of Xavier University with 92.80 percent.

Globe Wireless Connection Mabagal - BAYAN DSL Naman Ayaw Kame Kabitan

Now here's my story:

I'm a Globe wireless user and I was very disappointed sa supeeeeeeeer bagal ng service na binibigay nila samin. Pabalik-balik na ko and my bf para makipag-usap sa sa mga customer service pero walang nangyayari.. I once applied from wireless to wimax pero wala silang response. Pabalik-balik na rin ako sa Globe Center nila sa SM North pero still walang response. Naka-ilang filled up na ko ng application sa kanila, paulit-ulit checking ng location namin sa kanilang computer (kame naman turo ng turo na dito kame malapit na node) wala pa rin. Migration from wireless to wired connection still walang response. :(

Napagod na ko. Sa huli ako rin ang talo.. Nagbabayad ako every month ng 1 thousand plus for the internet bill pero I was unhappy sa kanilang connection.

Until I was convicend by a BayanDSL agent to switch due to my many problems na talaga namang sakit sa ulo. Lalo na homebased na ko nagwowork ngayon as web designer I need fast and reliable internet connection at home.

Nagbayad ako ng installation fee na 500 pesos sa Bayan Tel Center at Ever after 1 day may dumating na taga Bayan Tel. Namoblema sila.. Titingnan daw nila kung makakabitan kame. Hindi ko alam kung nasa bundok ba kame nakatira at tila ayaw nila kame kabitan. Ang katapat bahay namin naka BayanTel.. Tatlong bahay lang din ang layo samin ng internet cafe na nakaBayan DSL at dalawang bahay ang layo ng nakaBayan Tel landline. Sa likod bahay namin may mga naka bayantel din. Hindi ko lubos maisip kung bakit hindi nila kame kinabitan. Ang sabi babalik nalang "today" pero hindi sila bumalik kanina.

I was again so disappointed. Hindi ko malaman kung bakit hindi kame makabitan! Si GLOBE ganun din ang sabi when I migrate from wireless to wired. Ngayon naman si bayan.. Minsan nang di kame kinabitan ng bayan years ago at ngayon hindi na naman. Si PLDT ganun din.

Ang gusto ko lang naman ay maging wired ang connection namin gaya ng mga kapit-bahay namin. Bakit hindi maibigay. Mabagal ang wireless ko.. Napakabagal ng Globe wireless :(

WEBGEEKPH 1st Year Annivesary Meetup

Yesterday I was lucky enough to attend 1st year anniversary of WEBGEEKPH meetup. It was a night event held at Exist Techbar, G2iX Office 5/F Orient Square Bldg., Ortigas Center, Pasig City, hosted by John Arce and Hanniel Evan Yucoco.

The night was aimed to celebrate the 1st year anniversary and Microsoft conduct a seminar about the website spark for web pros (web platform installer) in the web and software sectors. They also gave 9 microsot t-shirts for the persons that will asked about the seminar. Sponsors also gave their short messages thanks to Ubertor, Sourcepad, Exist and M1cr0ph0ne.

The seminar was held in a cool business environment with a nice facilities. There were over 100 random people attended. More of them was web developers and designers, students, IT people etc. There was also an ipod touch given away at the lucky number by random.org.

Overall the night was very interesting and insightful. At the end of the event I was so thankful that they gave webgeek pin, 88db.com gave pads and ballpen, there were pizzas and drinks most especially I got a webgeek t-shirt :)

More on the event, I wanted to say Thank You (WebGeek founder JohnArce deserved!) - and for all who helped made the event very successful.

Looking back 5 years ago, many things happened.. We finished our college degree at the same school and you are always there for me all the time.

Thanks at New Era High School I met you. Heheh. Even though we became classmates only at second year high school you spent much of your time with me.

I know we've been more than 7 years as friends, but as soon as I saw you, I knew that you were "the one".

We dated throughout our college years in TUP. We all had so much fun together in college. I have my letters and pictures to prove it...from OJT to fieldtrips and everything in between.

We graduated in March 2009 and you first got a job. It was important to me that we not get married right out of college. I wanted to live with my family and help them.Thank you and you respect that.

I just wish that all our dreams in life will come true someday in Gods perfect time. I can tell you (and I do) that you are the only one I want to be with...as long as I live.

Our Passport Application Experience - DFA Aseana

Hello guys! I just wanted to share our passport experience on this blog. I hope our story helps future applicants to get ready right documents to save time, money and effort.

Me and EJ has been working for 1 year. We have SSS, Tin, PhilHealth and Pagibig accounts yet we don't have any digitized valid ID's. So we came up to a plan of having Philippine Passport. The steps were very simple just go at their website www.epassport.com.ph and set an appointment.

In preparing on the appointment we need to have two main documents. One NSO Birth Certificate and one valid ID's. We both have company ID and NSO Birth Certificates so it doesn't matter that we don't have powerful ID's such as SSS ID and Driver's License, etc. (that's what we thought). We also have other supporting documents like Transcript of Records (TOR), Diploma and school ID's.

First Time:

The first step was queuing of course. The numbering was digitized so it was easy, the hardest part was the long line before getting your queue number. They will first check your printed appointment letter then they will gave you the queue number.

To make the story short, I passed all the requirements I have on the first day but EJ didn't. Reason was EJ doesnt have enough ID. EJ have his NSO and company ID plus TOR and Diploma but the checker rejected the application and said must have valid ID's such as SSS, Drivers License or School ID. My school ID save my day. I have it on my wallet so I photocopied it and I was passed. Ej dont have school ID because in order to get TOR you must surrender youre ID. Lucky that I have two school ID's. I surrender the original and have one on me. At the end of the day, I didn't proceed to next step, I also wants EJ's requirements approve.

Second Time:

EJ prepared Postal ID. It cost Php 463.00 including the Barangay Clearance fee. We also went at NBI
Monumento to have NBI Clearance. We make sure that Postal ID was ok. We searched on the internet and
it says that "Postal ID is an important national ID as it is often asked to present when you want to apply for passport, credit card, and other transactions. Although not all employers ask its employees to get a postal ID, it is still necessary as postal ID indicates that you are a bonafide citizen of the Philippines."

We are very sure that EJ can passed the process for the second visit at DFA Aseana.

The day came, we get new queue number. The checker rejected again his application. So frustated, we didnt go to work because of it but still we fail. Are we not getting enough information on the web? Why they say Postal ID and NBI clearance was valid but it didnt. We waste money, time and effort but we end up rejected.

We need to go on through this, we need passport.

Third Time:

We check the list on "should have" requirements on the e-passport list and see what others requirements we can have. We visited New Era High school to have Form 137. EJ also prepared his Baptismal Certificate. Another day came, this was the third time visiting DFA Aseana I'm are hoping he could make it with all the requirements he have.

The checker received the documents and rejected it again, we pleased the checker and let him know that it was our third time.

...

What saves our day? IT was EJ's Library ID.

Now after two weeks time we have our Philippine Passport (fourth time). We spent lot before having the passport. I hope the passport application requirements will be clearer. What other ID's can we have after finishing college? We had applied for SSS ID last February, but still on process.

Note: The photocopy in DFA Aseana is quiet expensive and you need to queue up so better to photocopy all the documents you have before going.

If you want something, you'll find a way.

Nag-apply kame sa DFA Aseana para makakuha ng passport. Matapos mag online appointment pumunta kame sa tinakdang oras at araw ng DFA. Pagkatapos ng mahabang pila sa Step 2 kung saan checking of requirements hiningian pa ng isang ID si EJ (boyfriend) ng DFA. Dahil dun naisip naming kumuha na lamang ng Postal ID.

July 06, 2010 nasa DFA Aseana kame pero hindi siya naproceed dahil sa lack of valid requirements. July 07, 2010 kumuha kame ng POSTAL ID.

Unang step ay ang pakuha ng referral sa Purok Leader ng inyong lugar para makakuha ng Brgy. Clearance. Libre ang paghingi nito sa purok leader bilang katibayan of residence. Pagtapos ay pumunta na kame sa Brgy. Hall para sa pagkuha ng clearance -50 pesos para sa Brgy. clearance.
Dahil walang 2 by 2 ID picture nagpapicture si EJ sa Tronix para sa 3pcs. 2x2 picture na requirements sa Postal ID =60 pesos. Tanghali na kaya kumain kame sa Chowking.
Matapos ay nagtungo na kame sa Quezon City hall pagtapos namin makuha ang pictures. 1 sakay ng jeep mula sa tandang sora papuntang city hall.
Agad kameng nagtungo sa guard upang magtanong kung saan makakuha ng Cedula. Ang bayad para dito ay 63.00 pesos. Mabilis at maiksi lamang ang pila at ng matapos ay pumunta kame sa PostPhil office para sa POSTAL ID.

Nang macheck na ang mga requirements ay pina thumbmark na si EJ at inutasan kame para magpa-photocopy ng application form. Nagbayad si EJ ng 290.00 pesos para sa Postal Id fee pero laking gulat namin ng makita na 175.00 pesos lamang ang nakalagay sa recibo at sa postal id application form. Bakit magkaiba ang binayaran namin sa recibo? Hm..

Sumatotal;

Brgy. Clearance = 50.00
ID Picture = 60.00
Cedula = 63.00
Postal ID = 290.00

Total COST = 463.00 pesos lahat di pa kasama pagkain at pamasahe pati na rin ung photocopy.

Nagtaka kame kung bakit sa breakdown of cost malayo ang Php 290.00 na binayaran sa Php 175.00 pesos na nakalagay sa recibo. Ang pagkaka-alam namin kung anu ang nasa recibo ayun ang babayaran pero kailangan namin ang Postal ID hindi na kame nagtanong kung bakit, malamang may isasagot din sila samin. Naisip ko lang lahat ba makakakuha ng Postal ID? Paano ung mga walang valid ID's at Postal Id nalang ang isa sa options? Maraming gastos sa pagkuha ng mga requirements, magkaiba pa un nasa receipt at sa binayaran.

The mother was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard every day for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door..

The woman sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the woman had calmed down, and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $5 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The woman went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' She asked.

'No Mommy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.
'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the woman. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $5 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you Mommy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The woman saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his mother.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the mother grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Mommy, I have $20 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow, I would like to have dinner with you.'

The mother was crushed. She put her arms around her little son, and she begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $20 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

The message above was part of an email, it opens my mind to ask myself what Glaiza means. I don't know any equivalent meaning of my name in Tagalog and in English.

My name should be Divina Gracia or Divine Grace according to my mother but her sister gave me the name. Coincidently, I have a professor in college who's name was Divina Gracia and her birth date was June 10 so if Divina or Divine was my name, we then have same name and same birth date. According to my auntie, my name Glaiza was originated from the actress name Glaiza Herradura first Little Miss Philippines Winner.

Ang mama ko simple lang. Simpleng may bahay ni Tatay at simple Mama para sa aming apat na magkakapatid.

Ako ang panganay kaya napakaswerte ko. Alam kong sakin unang ipinadama ni mama ang kanyang pagiging ina.

Si mama bukod kay tatay ang number 1 supporter ko mula nung akoy magkamalay.. Supporter sa pag-aaral.. Supporter sa lahat. Sila ni tatay nagbibigay sakin ng lakas.

Totoo magulo ang bahay namin kapag wala si mama. Kapag umaalis sila ni tatay dati hanggat maari pagbalik nila malinis ang bahay para matutuwa si mama at hindi na siya mamomoblema sa pag-lilinis.

Sa umaga maagang nagigising si mama. Pag-gising ko may nakahanda ng mainit na tubig para pan-ligo. Nakahanda na rin ang almusal. (Nasanay kameng bago papasok ay nag-aalmusal). At si mama ang naghahanda para samin.

Ngayon malaki nako si mama hindi pa rin nagbabago. Hinahandaan pa rin niya ako ng almusal. At nauunang gumising sakin. Si mama kapag nagkasakit ako alalang-alala siya. Kahit sabihin kong "OK lang ako ma" si mama hindi siya mapakali hanggat hindi siya napapanatag na ok na ako.

Kung minsan nagkakaroon ng di pagkakaintindihan kame ni mama pero I always make sure na o-ok na kame before mag end ang day. Wala na akong tatay. At gusto kong makasama pa ng matagal si mama. Mapagsilbihan siya. Maagang kinuha samin tatay kaya gusto kong bumawi ngayong malaki na ko kay mama.

Ma, wag ka na pong mag-alala sa kuryente natin.. sa pambayad sa tubig.. sa internet bill. Wag mo masyadong isipin ang mga problema sa pam-pamasahe nila Gadz. Sisikapin ko ma na makahanap ng magandang trabaho para masuportahan ko po kayo.

Ma, ako naman ang babawi. Gusto ko ma happy ka. Alam kong mahirap sayo ma nung mawala si tatay.. pero hindi mo kame iniwanan mama. Naging matatag ka. Wala man tayong pera ma. Gusto ko magkakasama tayo masaya. Hindi ka namin pababayaan ma. Wag ka ng mabahala ako na. Basta dyan ka lang mama, hindi namin kaya ang wala ka.

Nag-lilike sa mga post ni G1BO sa facebook at natutuwa kapag may cool color GREEN for G1BO akong nakikita.. Sa lugar namin sa QC bibihira ang may color green for G1bo.. Karamihan dilaw at kahel. Sa sampung puro mukha ng nakasalamin isa lang ang kay G1BO iyon marahil ang dahilan kung bakit at paano ako nacurious sa kanya. Sino nga ba si G1BO Teodoro at bakit ko pinaglalaanan ng oras ang blog na ito para sa kanya.. Kung meron mang online volunteers isa na ata ako doon.. Sa text ako unang nakabasa ng mga salitang ngayon ay describe as certified jejemon.. Nakakatuwa dahil parang pilit na nilalagyan ng lande ang mga text at mga salita nila.. hehe pati pala ang simpleng "eow uxtaH?" ay considered na as jejemon..

Sa friendster and facebook madalas makakabasa at makakakita ka ng mga Jejemons..

Funny Cleverbot

Nakakatuwa na nakakaloka ang cleverbot.com.. Matutuwa ka dahil may sagot siyang tagalog. Akala ko noong una ay english lang ang alam niang sagutin.. Mali pala ako dahil ng subukan kong magtagalog ay sumagot din siya ng tagalog.. nang subukan kong mag bisaya ay sumagot siya ng "Bisaya ka mandong" hahah..

Ako at si Ej naging katuwaan ang cleverbot ngayong araw. Kanya-kanyang pasa ng mga nakakaaliw na sagot ni cleverbot sa aming mga katanungan. Nakakaloka at talagang mapapaisip ka kung tao ba ang nakakausap mo o program. Pag view source ko ay puro javascript.. I woke late in the morning almost 10am hahah and hey it was March 13 2010 sunday fiught of Pacquiao against Clottey. Ever since Manny have a fight I always love to watch it at home with my family..

At first I couldn't searched the right website who offer live streams.. Til I found http://www.ustream.tv/channel/dropitlikeits.. But to join in their forum I signed in my twitter account and tweeted every query in me for other twitters to pass the successful link of live video.

Til my uncle came in the house and looking for the live stream at the internet.. Good thing I found one! But after a while it didn't work continuously.

I searched again and read forums.. Yahooo!! I successfully found live streams at

But as we watched the video there we found it boring.. hahaha.. :)

On facebook many of my friends broadcast about Manny's game..

But still PACMAN wins unanimous 12-rounds.. ^_^

Unidentified Network In Windows 7 Experience

It was my first time to experience Windows 7 Ultimate and I'm so excited... I first used it via wifi and it works! Then in the house I plugged the network cable and I got frustrated when I cant connect to the internet. :(

I dial EJ landline number to asked cause I finally got mad. My printed screen for ipconfig /all at first was below

Then I tried to follow instructions at the net http://www.sevenforums.com/network-sharing/12759-possible-solution-unidentified-network-access.html

His instructions doesnt work for me so here is mine..

1. Open Network Access >> Network and sharing center
2. Clicked Local Area Connection
3. Under Networking click configure
4. Under Configure clicked Advanced Tab
4. Highlighted Network Address and changed value by entering random 12 alphanumeric characters (i used 02EF22FD2310 from the top of my mind)
5. Click OK

See.. It works! I got connected to the net ^_^

Work Works Worx...

Today I was assigned to create coupons layout for the web page. I am not familiar in coupons yet so let see its definition on web ^_^ according to Google.. Coupon is a negotiable certificate that can be detached and redeemed as needed. Hmm.. Therefor coupons act as an promotional code or an discount code.

In layouting.. I choose to made it simple and light.

55 MONTHS of Being In Love ♥♥♥

Before I start, I would like to greet Mr. EJ Frias who made me feel sooo special today.

It was our 55 months of being in love.. and yet the feeling was still mutual. Still in love with him like high school lovers.

He makes me feel good when I'm bad. Hahah.. Loving him gives me hope :) It gives me strength. He always cheer me up every time I'm sad. Whenever I'm lonely he was always there for me even though I may not speak. He keep my heart alive with his every smile and hug me soo tight.. with his kiss I feel the warm of being special. With him alone I know I'm alive :)

Sayang di nakuhanan ng malinaw ang place from the top.. May groto kasi sa taas.. hahah.. At kung kelan pauwi na kame saka naisipang picturan ang lugar :)
